Summary
Undertake cervical smear (cytology) tests in line with national guidelines and protocols. Administer a range of injections, including: Childhood immunisations (as appropriate) Flu and COVID-19 vaccines Travel vaccinations Vitamin B12 injections Perform basic wound care, dressings, and removal of sutures or clips. Record and monitor vital signs, such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height, and weight. Perform ECGs, urinalysis, and phlebotomy (if trained). Assist in health promotion, lifestyle advice, and patient education. Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using practice systems (EMIS). Follow infection prevention and control protocols and contribute to clinical audits and stock management.
