Our well-established GU oncology radiology service is one of the largest in the country, run by a motivated and cohesive group of consultants with a wealth of imaging experience. The successful candidates with work closely with specialist registrars and consultants undertaking dedicated blocks in genitourinary/oncology including gynaecology imaging and non-vascular intervention. We can offer extensive exposure and teaching for a variety of imaging techniques including fluoroscopy, ultrasound, MRI and CT in both the acute and outpatient setting. What you will bring to the role Using your job description, pick out the parts of the role that will appeal most to your department. The Genitourinary oncology radiology group has a strong teaching and research interest and participation in these areas will be encouraged. There are opportunities to participate in a wide array of MDT meetings which include bladder, renal, prostate, penile, melanoma, germ-cell, cancer of unknown primary and stone. Participation in departmental research is encouraged, and the post holder will be required to contribute to the departmental journal club and educational meetings. The fellows are expected to participate in the teaching and supervision of specialist registrars, sonographers and radiographic staff. We have one of 3 national Radiology Academies, based at the LGI site. This contains library, lecture, seminar and computer facilities which are part of the Integrated Training Initiative. Large collections of books, films and teaching resources are held across the various radiology departments. The Medical School Building of the University of Leeds is housed in the Worsley Building and this contains the main medical library.
