The jobholder will undertake a range of delegated clinical patient care duties under direct or indirect supervision by a registered team member. We are a busy cross site department working Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:00 providing excellent patient care at LGI and SJUH for people undergoing vascular and non-vascular interventional procedures using radiology and ultrasound guidance. We care for people who remain conscious during most cases undergoing angioplasty, stenting, embolisation, thrombolysis, aneurysm repair and many other interventional procedures taking patients from most specialties. We are part of the Major Trauma Centre and also one of the few sites in the country performing cutting edge vascular, hepatic and neurological procedures. The role will mainly involve preparing and assisting in the recovering in-patients and out-patients in the recovery room. You will already be able to cannulate or be willing to undertake training in this, and other, extended roles including removal of arterial sheaths and patient transfers on taking up the post.
