Summary
• Initial assessments; assessing learners on their existing ability in a subject area
• Creating lesson plans, creating and delivering a schedule for further education and development in subject areas
• Assessing a student’s level of progress within a subject and identifying areas for improvement
• Developing, assigning and reviewing learner’s homework assignments and test scores and working through problem questions that the learner did not answer correctly
• Providing mock exams or tests to prepare the student for actual exams
• Fostering a positive and supportive learning environment to encourage learner engagement and motivation
• Teaching group and individualised sessions, applying creative teaching skills and materials to enhance a fun and progressive learning environment
• Keeping up-to-date on the current curriculum and latest teaching trends
• Maintaining an excellent knowledge of the subject being taught
• Communicate effectively with learners and parents regarding progress, goals, and areas for improvement or challenges and giving needed feedback
• Monitor, updating and tracking learners’ progress using a mix of online and offline tools and adjusting teaching methods accordingly to ensure academic improvement
