Summary

Why you should join our Team L19 is a cardiology admissions ward. We admit both acute and chronic patients. In order to provide high standards of care we need to work together as a team both registered and unregistered staff. We are flexible and we often deal with conflicting priorities and therefore good communication is key. We strive to create a supportive environment. J11 is a medically optimised for discharge ward that works as part of the cardio-respiratory team. We are based at St James hospital working closely with the respiratory acute wards within the trust. However, We also aim to provide a high quality of care to all patients within the trust that require the teams high levels of knowledge and dedication in assisting patients to be discharged from hospital safely. J11 strive to be dedicated to patient care and aim to maintain patient advocacy and voice in what they would like and how they would like to be discharged. The team work in conjuction with the respiratory discharge team and together we aim to build a bridge between the hospital and community services with patient voice at the forefront. If providing outstanding patient care, working alongside a busy and dedicated team of which is continuously growing and developing then this is the job for you. What you will bring to the role Criteria: NVQ3 in Health and Social Care, Diploma in Health Level 3, Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 3 or equivalent health care related qualification The Care Certificate or in the absence of this the jobholder must successfully attain the Care Certificate within the first 3 months of employment Basic skills Maths and English Level 2 (equivalent of GCSE 4-9 (A*-C)). (desirable) Significant experience of working within a healthcare setting delivering personal and clinical care. Utilisation of planning and organisational skills Insight into roles responsibilities of post Basic IT skills Significant experience of working within the speciality or department.
