The governors of St Margaret Ward Catholic Primary School, in partnership with Shrewsbury Diocese, are seeking to appoint an inspirational, supportive and innovative deputy headteacher to inspire us in the next phase of our journey.

Located in the heart of Sale, St Margaret Ward Catholic Primary School is celebrated for its warm, inclusive community and strong sense of belonging. Governors will encourage and support the successful applicant in delivering our shared ambitions, whilst also supporting the new deputy headteacher in their own professional career developments.

The Governing Board are looking for a committed and practising Catholic who:

Is aspirational in approach to the quality of teaching and learning and of the

achievement and well-being of every child and will inspire our children, our

parents and the whole of the staff team on the next stage of our journey.

Be a role model who inspires and motivates others through their

commitment, enthusiasm and dedication to raising standards.

Be an experienced leader with the interpersonal skills to develop strong

working relationships with staff, children, parents, parish and governors.

Is an engaging and hardworking individual, able to collaborate with parents,

staff, governors, the parish and wider community in providing opportunities

for all pupils.

Be a highly effective leader who can manage and organise the personnel,

financial and professional needs of the school’s resources and staff.

Set an example of excellent classroom practice and demonstrates

commitment to high expectations of children’s behaviour and attainment;

Have a track record of working with children with a wide range of educational

needs;

Has an ability to drive forward developments in the curriculum;

Will continue to maintain and promote a strong culture of safeguarding;

A role model who inspires and motivates others through their dedication and

commitment to raising standards.
