This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, organised and highly motivated expert sonographer to shape the future of paediatric ultrasound within a leading tertiary children's service. The successful candidate will combine advanced clinical practice with leadership responsibilities. You will be responsible for monitoring service performance, maintaining governance standards, supporting staff development and driving service improvements in line with local and national priorities Working closely with the Ultrasound Lead Sonographer, Lead clinician for Paediatric Radiology, Lead Radiographer for Paediatrics, Team Managers and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will act as the clinical lead for paediatric ultrasound and help ensure that children and young people receive safe, effective and compassionate imaging services of the highest quality. You will bring advanced clinical expertise, the ability to work autonomously, and confidence in managing complex examinations while providing high-quality diagnostic reports. You will be an effective communicator and an inspiring leader, committed to supporting and developing sonographers, trainees and the wider multidisciplinary team. With a strong focus on clinical governance, quality assurance and continuous improvement, you will play a key role in shaping the future of paediatric ultrasound at Leeds, ensuring the highest standards of care for children, young people and their families.
