Summary
Learning Support Assistant (SEND)This is a full-time position working 31.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:45am to 3:30pm (including lunchtime supervision). We are committed to flexible working and welcome applications from candidates interested in part-time working or a job-share arrangement.Park Mead Primary School has an exciting opportunity for two committed and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistants to join our dedicated team. The positions are with the current EYFS and Year 3 cohorts.The successful candidates will provide high-quality support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), working closely with class teachers and other professionals to ensure every child can access learning, make progress and thrive.These roles are available for an immediate start and will primarily involve providing one-to-one support for individual pupils, although support may also be required within small groups and the wider classroom environment.We are looking for candidates who:• Are highly motivated and passionate about supporting children's learning and development.• Are committed to helping every child achieve their full potential academically, socially and emotionally.• Have experience supporting children with a range of learning, social, emotional or additional needs.• Demonstrate patience, empathy, resilience and a nurturing approach.• Work effectively as part of a collaborative and supportive team.• Have strong communication skills and can build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.• Share our commitment to inclusion, diversity and ensuring every child feels valued, supported and successful.Previous experience of supporting children with additional needs, particularly communication and interaction needs or autism, would be advantageous.
