The Role
As a Graduate Geography Teaching Assistant, you'll play an integral role in supporting teaching and learning across the Geography department.
Your responsibilities may include:
• Supporting students during Geography lessons
• Delivering targeted one-to-one and small-group interventions
• Helping pupils prepare for GCSE and A-Level examinations
• Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom activities
• Encouraging student engagement and academic progress
• Supporting learners with varying abilities and additional needs
• Working alongside teachers to raise attainment and confidence
• Contributing to educational visits, enrichment activities and wider school life
This is a varied and rewarding position offering first-hand experience of life within a thriving secondary school.
Who We're Looking For
Essential
• A 2:1 degree or above in Geography or a closely related subject
• A passion for education and working with young people
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A proactive and positive attitude
• Right to work in the UK
Desirable
• Previous experience working with young people
• Tutoring, mentoring or coaching experience
• An interest in pursuing a career in teaching
• Knowledge of the current Geography curriculum
