Summary
Masstemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Paint Sprayer to join our manufacturingclient based in Kidderminster.
The successful candidate will have proven experience in wet spraying and will be responsible for preparing and spraying a variety of furniture products to a high standard.
This is a hands-on role where attention to detail, quality and consistency are essential. You will be expected to take responsibility for your own work from preparation through to the finished sprayed product.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare a variety of furniture products ready for spraying.
• Carry out sanding, filling and other preparation work to achieve a high-quality finish.
• Wet spray furniture and other manufactured products using appropriate spray equipment.
• Apply primers, paints, lacquers and other coatings as required.
• Ensure all finished products meet the required quality standards.
• Inspect your own work and identify any imperfections or areas requiring additional preparation or spraying.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised spraying and preparation area.
• Clean and maintain spray guns and other equipment.
• Follow all relevant health and safety procedures and company processes.
• Work efficiently to meet production deadlines and targets.
• Work closely with other members of the manufacturing team to ensure products are completed on time.
• Carry out additional preparation, finishing and spraying duties as required.
The ideal candidate will:
• Have proven experience in wet spraying within a manufacturing, furniture, joinery or similar environment.
• Be confident spraying a range of furniture products and finishes.
• Be experienced in preparing their own work prior to spraying.
• Have excellent attention to detail and take pride in producing a high-quality finish.
• Be able to work independently and manage their own workload.
• Have a good understanding of preparation, paint application and finishing processes.
• Be reliable, hardworking and punctual.
• Be comfortable working to production deadlines.
• Have a good understanding of workplace health and safety.
• Be flexible and willing to work occasional weekend overtime when required.
Working Hours
Monday – Friday: 7:00am – 5:00pm
Occasional weekend overtime may be required depending on production requirements. Overtime will be discussed in advance wherever possible.
Rate of pay:
up to £15 per hour based on expereince and interview.
