Our in-house Dental Production Laboratory employs 27 staff including 23 GDC registered Dental Technicians to provide laboratory services for around 400 undergraduate and post graduate dental students in addition to many clinical staff of all grades and disciplines. As an on-site service within a teaching environment, our technical staff routinely interact and liaise directly with clinical staff and students, providing opportunities to work and learn together and build a great team-working experience What you will bring to the role The post holder will be expected to produce a broad range of temporary and permanent dental crowns, bridges, inlays and onlays, which will include some implant retained units. The restorations may be manufactured using metals, ceramics, composites, zirconia and acrylic polymers and using both conventional, and in-house design for digital production methods. You can also expect some of the routine work such as study models, Denar articulations, diagnostic wax-ups, memosil indexes, radiographic stents, splint dentures, bite-raising appliances etc. Please see the attached job description for further information about this vacancy.
