We are seeking an Asset Management Assurance Manager to ensure the organisation has effective systems, processes and controls in place to manage assets throughout their lifecycle.

The successful candidate will lead compliance with ISO 55001 standards, oversee assurance activities, identify risks and opportunities for improvement, and provide insight to support decision-making.

Job Description

We are looking for a knowledgeable asset management professional who can drive governance, assurance and continuous improvement across the Asset Management System (AMS).​

This role will be responsible for ensuring assets are managed efficiently, risks are controlled, standards are met, and the organisation achieves maximum value from its asset investments.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, maintain and continuously improve the Asset Management System (AMS) in line with ISO 55001, IAM best practice and business objectives.

Establish and maintain asset management governance frameworks, policies, standards, procedures and controls.

Develop and deliver assurance programmes to assess compliance, effectiveness and maturity of asset management processes and systems.

Plan and coordinate internal and external audits, maturity assessments and management reviews.

Monitor compliance with asset management standards, policies and regulatory requirements, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement.

Lead corrective and preventative action plans, ensuring issues are effectively addressed and closed out.

Provide independent assurance on asset data, lifecycle planning, risk management and investment decision-making processes.

Produce performance dashboards, management reports and executive-level briefings to support strategic decision-making.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Detailed knowledge of ISO 55001.

Experience working with asset management framework compliance.

Experience conducting audits and assurance activities.

Strong stakeholder management skills.

Experience training and influencing operational teams.

Background working within asset management environments.

Knowledge of asset management governance, assurance and continuous improvement.

Ability to support and maintain ISO 55001 certification and audit readiness.

Must hold a full UK driving licence, as regular travel is required (car or car allowance provided).
