Summary
The role of the Non-Executive Director is to provide independent advice, challenge, and support through the Chair to the Chief Executive, Executive Directors, and Council of Governors to shape how the Trust delivers services. Non-Executive Directors bring their expertise and experience, as well as their knowledge as a member of the community, to the work of the Board. They must ensure that high standards of probity and governance, including financial governance prevail and that the Trust remains within its terms of authorisation. As part of the role, the individual will be expected to be a Chair one of the Trusts key committees and be a member of other committees as determined by the Chair of the Board.
