The Opportunity
We are seeking experienced and proactive Finishing Supervisors to lead our packing operation at Kolorcraft Distribution. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring products are packed accurately, efficiently and to the highest quality standards, whilst creating a positive and productive team environment.
Working closely with Production, Warehouse, Quality and Fulfilment teams, you will play a key role in achieving customer expectations, maintaining operational excellence and driving continuous improvement across the department.
Key Responsibilities
· Leadership & People Management
· Lead, motivate and develop Packing Operatives and Team Leaders to achieve departmental objectives.
· Manage, support and integrate temporary labour, ensuring colleagues receive effective induction and training.
· Liaise with labour providers to ensure appropriate staffing levels and operational performance.
· Foster a positive, inclusive and collaborative working environment across the team.
· Communicate daily priorities, targets and operational updates to the team.
Operations & Performance
· Ensure packing operations are completed safely, efficiently and in line with production schedules.
· Attend production meetings and represent the Packing Department.
· Monitor productivity and identify opportunities to improve performance and efficiency.
· Work closely with internal departments to coordinate workflow and resolve issues quickly.
Quality, Stock & Fulfilment
· Ensure finished products meet customer specifications and quality standards.
· Maintain accurate records and traceability information.
· Support stock control processes, stock counts and inventory accuracy.
· Ensure correct labelling, packaging, dispatch documentation and courier requirements are followed.
· Assist with fulfilment activities, including picking, packing and distribution of client materials.
Continuous Improvement, Health & Safety
· Champion a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
· Promote and maintain the highest standards of health, safety and housekeeping.
· Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry standards, including ISO, FSC and PEFC requirements.
· Support investigations, audits and corrective actions where required.
