Summary

24 Month Fixed Term

Sunderland City Council (SCC) are currently seeking a Driver Assessment Officer with relevant qualifications, experience and a Category C+E HGV licence.

You will play a key role in supporting the Counciland#39;s Operatorand#39;s Licence requirements by planning, delivering and evaluating driver training programmes and conducting driving assessments for employees who operate council vehicles as part of their duties.

The main function of the role is to ensure drivers maintain the required standards of skill, safety and competence through effective training, assessment and development initiatives. You will also maintain training records, monitor outcomes, prepare reports and provide guidance to managers on driver development and best practice.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver trainer or assessor who is passionate about developing driver standards, promoting road safety and supporting continuous improvement across a large and diverse fleet operation.
