Summary

What's involved with this role:

Triumph Consultants are looking for a Planning Officer to work on a wide range of planning applications for their client. You will deliver high-quality planning decisions whilst providing a professional service to applicants and local communities. Contract is for 6 months in Hampshire, Portsmouth PO1 2AL.

Planning Officer

Pay Rate: £29.77 per hour PAYE

Hours per week: 37 Monday - Friday

Contract length: 6 months

Location: Hampshire, Portsmouth PO1 2AL

Key Requirements

Experience dealing with planning applications and development proposals.

Knowledge of UK planning legislation, policies and procedures.

Ability to assess applications and make sound planning recommendations.

Strong communication and organisational skills.

Relevant planning qualification or equivalent experience.

Key Responsibilities

Assess and process a wide range of planning applications from submission to decision.

Prepare planning reports, recommendations and decisions in line with policies and legislation.

Provide planning advice to applicants, agents, residents and other stakeholders.

Work with internal teams and external partners to resolve planning issues.

Attend meetings, site visits and committees as required.
