A welcoming and supportive primary school in Middleton is seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team on a full-time basis from September. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting pupils' learning and development, working closely with teachers and the wider school team.
The role will involve delivering learning activities, supporting pupils across the classroom and taking responsibility for lessons or groups when required. The successful candidate will be confident, adaptable and passionate about helping children achieve their potential.
Key responsibilities:
• Supporting teaching and learning across the primary classroom
• Delivering planned lessons and activities when required
• Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils
• Supporting pupils with their academic, social and emotional development
• Managing classroom behaviour and promoting positive relationships
• Adapting activities to meet the needs of individual pupils
• Working closely with teachers and the wider school team
• Providing effective feedback on pupil progress and engagement

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HLTA looking for a rewarding, full-time role within a supportive Middleton primary school.
The successful applicant will:
• Have previous experience working as an HLTA or in a similar teaching/support role
• Have strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
• Be confident delivering lessons and supporting classroom learning
• Have excellent behaviour management and communication skills
• Be calm, adaptable and proactive
• Be reliable and available full time
• Hold a valid Child Workforce DBS or be willing to obtain one
• Relevant HLTA, Teaching Assistant or Supporting Teaching & Learning qualifications are desirable
