Summary

The Duty Security Supervisor will be responsible for supporting the management team in delivering the smooth and efficient running of the security service for one of the world’s biggest law firms, ensuring security protocols are adhered to and service is delivered to a high standard.The main purpose of the Duty Security Supervisor is to have ownership, responsibility and accountability of their shift and smooth transition of shifts to colleagues, providing support to the Security Manager and guidance to the Security Officers. Information:Position: Duty Shift Supervisor Location: Canary WharfPay Rate: £18.59 per hourHours: Average 42.2 hours per weekShifts: Days & Nights - 4 on 4 offJob Requirements:SIA Door Supervisor or Security Licence required.SIA CCTV Licence required.Experience as a Security Team Leader/ Supervisor is required.Excellent written and verbal communication skillsCustomer focused, with a strong knowledge of customer service skills.Demonstrate a strong aptitude for multi-tasking.To have a smart appearance befitting the company.Flexible in the approach to daily duties and additional events when held on site.Be calm under pressure and confident in dealing with confrontational situations in a professional manner.Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative.Team player, who will support colleagues and provide ideas to improve service delivery.Ability to think and act quickly in emergency incidents or under pressure.Highly proficient and confident in the use of Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft.Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic and changing environment.Key Responsibilities:Based out of the global security control room, the Supervisor will be able to work under pressure in a dynamic and changing environment.Ensure that all Policies and Procedures for the building are followed and adhered to.Responsible for smooth operations of the site, that all the queries from security team, customers, contractors are resolved efficiently.To ensure high customer service is provided to all visitors, contractors, staff members, etc at the building.To ensure that all incidents are dealt with in a timely, professional and efficient manner and are correctly reported.To advise the Security Manager of any incidents effecting the integrity of the building and its operation.To ensure the prevention and detection of fire, water leaks and any potential safety hazards.Participate and contribute positively to the security team. Attend meetings as required and provide reports and recommendations on the activities of the security operation.Be committed to Health & Safety and ensure that you are familiar with all CIS Security / Client Health & Safety policies and procedures. Police and encourage observance with all site security & safety policies, in particular ensuring that the access control, key control, smoking and Health & Safety policies are observed and enforced.Respond to all incidents in a timely and effective manner by directing the activities of all affected persons, aimed at all times to safeguard the assets of the Client, ensuring that direction from senior line management is sought where appropriate.To ensure that a safe environment is maintained for all employees, contractors and visitors, and that the building assets and property are protected and safeguarded.To ensure that all staff members are kept up to date with any changes in procedures affecting the assignment.Utilising a variety of software not limited to Visitor Permit System, CCure 9000, Merlin, Timegate, ISOS, Kone Lift Visualisation software, and ability to learn new systems as and when introduced.To ensure that an effective handover takes place at shift change over periods and that all keys, equipment and documentation are properly accounted for.To ensure all equipment issued to security staff is properly signed in/out, uniform, ID cards and SIA licenses checked.Completion of varying administrative duties such as the upkeep of training records, training matrix and site documentation and completion of out of hours requests from the client and overseas offices, seeing through to conclusion.To oversee and appropriately train new and existing team members.To ensure smooth operation running and that all queries are dealt efficiently in the CPO, Loading Bay, Pass Office, Front of House, Tenants Desk and Control Room within site policies and procedures.Manage, support, train, brief, coach and develop Security Team to ensure duties and on site required standard of service.Responsible for all roster requirements, ensuring that all positions are covered at all times.
