Summary

Holistic Recruiters Ltd is seeking an experienced and proactive Estates & Facilities Lead to oversee the building, facilities, maintenance and environmental standards at Crowlin Recovery House.

The successful candidate will ensure the service remains safe, compliant, well-maintained and welcoming, supporting the delivery of a high-quality mental health crisis service.

You will manage planned and reactive maintenance, contractors, housekeeping standards, statutory compliance, health and safety, security, assets and facilities budgets.

Job Purpose

The Estates & Facilities Lead will provide operational leadership for all estates and facilities functions at the Recovery House.

Working closely with the Service Manager, NHS Estates Teams, landlords, contractors and suppliers, you will ensure the building and its facilities meet required health, safety, contractual and regulatory standards.

You will also help maintain an environment that promotes safety, dignity, comfort and recovery for guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee building maintenance, repairs and grounds, including planned and reactive maintenance.

• Manage contractors, suppliers and service contracts, ensuring quality, safety and timely completion of work.

• Maintain compliance with health & safety, fire safety, COSHH, legionella, asbestos, electrical and gas safety requirements.

• Monitor fire systems, emergency lighting, fire doors, drills and evacuation procedures.

• Oversee housekeeping and environmental standards, including cleanliness, infection control and supplies.

• Manage building security, including keys, access control, CCTV and alarm systems.

• Maintain asset and equipment records, warranties, servicing schedules and stock levels.

• Support procurement, budget monitoring and value-for-money initiatives.

• Promote sustainability, including waste reduction, recycling and energy efficiency.

• Conduct risk assessments and facilities inspections, maintain action plans and support business continuity.

• Maintain accurate maintenance, compliance, contractor, asset and health & safety records.

• Provide information for audits, inspections, management reviews and commissioner requirements.

• Build effective relationships with NHS Estates teams, landlords, contractors, suppliers, managers, commissioners and auditors.
