Summary

Recycling Officer x2

Location: Clacton-on-Sea

Contract: Temporary, Full-Time (6 Months)

Rate: £30.00 per hour PAYE

We are seeking two Recycling Officers to support the delivery of a new recycling collection service across the local area. This is a full-time, site-based role in Clacton-on-Sea, requiring travel throughout the district, so access to a vehicle and a full driving licence are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor recycling and waste collection compliance.
Engage with residents and contractors to promote recycling and waste minimisation.
Conduct audits of communal bin stores and recommend recycling improvements.
Support the rollout and promotion of food waste collection services.
Deliver recycling containers and information to households.
Handle customer enquiries via telephone and email.
Provide general administrative and operational support.

About You:

Previous experience within waste management, recycling, or environmental services is essential.
Strong communication and customer engagement skills.
Experience working with contractors, stakeholders, or the public.
Ability to manage site visits, inspections, and compliance activities.
Full UK driving licence and access to a personal vehicle.
