Hays Education are recruiting for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a specialist educational setting in Coventry. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping them to access learning and reach their full potential.

Whether you have experience as a Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, Care Worker, or Youth Worker, we would love to hear from you.

Your new role

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:

Support students with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), and complex needs

Provide 1:1 and small group support

Assist students with classroom activities and communication

Promote independence, confidence and social development

Support positive behaviour strategies

Work closely with teachers, therapists and other support staff

What you'll need to succeed

Experience working with children, young people, or adults with additional needs

A caring, patient and resilient approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A genuine passion for supporting individuals with SEND

Previous experience in education, care or support work is desirable
