The role supports local delivery operations and is suited to a dependable driver who can provide professional service while completing scheduled home deliveries safely and efficiently.The roleWe are seeking a Car/Van Driver to complete daytime home delivery work in and around Durham. You will be responsible for loading and unloading items by hand, following delivery schedules and completing multi-drop routes with more than 10 stops.Key responsibilities• Drive a car or van safely and responsibly• Complete home deliveries across planned routes• Carry out handball loading and unloading• Manage multi-drop deliveries of over 10 stops• Provide polite, professional service at each delivery• Check that deliveries are completed accurately and on time• Follow relevant workplace, vehicle and road safety proceduresSkills and qualifications• Experience in handball work• Previous home delivery experience• Experience completing multi-drop routes with more than 10 deliveries• Reliable, organised and punctual approach• Good communication and customer service skills• Ability to work independently during daytime shifts• Appropriate driving entitlement for the vehicle assignedBenefits• Minimum of 8 hours paid• Paid every Wednesday• Visibility to local employers• Potential opportunity for permanent employmentThis is a temporary daytime driving position offering regular paid hours and the possibility of longer-term employment for the right person.Apply today.
