Reports To: Deputy Manager / Registered Manager

About the Role

We are recruiting for an experienced

Team Leader to join a children's residential home in Burton-upon-Trent. You will lead and support a team of Residential Support Workers, ensuring children and young people receive safe, nurturing, high-quality care while maintaining compliance with Ofsted and Children's Home Regulations

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and supervise staff on shift

• Conduct handovers, supervisions and support staff development

• Support care planning, risk assessments and key working sessions

• Promote safeguarding and maintain accurate records

• Assist with rotas, medication administration and health & safety

• Build positive relationships with young people, families and professionals

• Support admissions, referrals and transitions into the home

• Use therapeutic approaches and de-escalation techniques to manage behaviours positively

Essential Requirements

• Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)

• Full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle

• Enhanced DBS check

• Minimum 1-2 years' experience within residential childcare

• Good knowledge of safeguarding, care planning and Children's Home Regulations
