Summary

Join Us and Help Shape the Future of Mixenden and Illingworth.

Be the engine behind an exciting community investment programme.

Do you enjoy organising activity, supporting projects and helping things run smoothly? Are you passionate about working with communities and making a visible difference in local neighbourhoods?

Calderdale is embarking on an ambitious £20 million, 10-year Pride in Place programme – a once-in-a-generation investment in communities, driven by local priorities and community leadership.

We're looking for a highly organised and proactive individual to provide essential operational, governance and administrative support to this transformational programme.

Why Pride in Place?

Pride in Place is about much more than delivering projects. It's about:

• Empowering communities to shape their future.

• Building stronger partnerships across the public, voluntary and community sectors.

• Creating lasting social and economic impact.

• Ensuring local people have a genuine voice in investment decisions.

• Delivering meaningful change that residents can see and feel.

You'll work alongside passionate colleagues, community leaders, local organisations and residents to help unlock the full potential of our neighbourhoods.

About the Role

You'll work closely with the Pride in Place Manager, support the Neighbourhood Board and help keep a complex and high-profile programme on track.

No two days will be the same. One day you may be supporting a community event, the next preparing board papers, managing programme information or helping coordinate key stakeholder meetings.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys coordinating activity, solving problems, supporting decision-making and ensuring projects run effectively.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has excellent organisational and administrative skills.

• Can manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

• Communicates confidently with a wide range of people.

• Enjoys working collaboratively across organisations and communities.

• Wants to make a visible difference in local neighbourhoods.

What We Offer

In addition to the opportunity to work on one of Calderdale's most significant community investment programmes, you'll benefit from:

• Flexible hybrid working.

• A supportive and collaborative team environment.

• Opportunities for professional development.

• Meaningful work that directly impacts communities.

• The chance to help shape the future of Calderdale.

Ready to make a difference?

If you're excited about community-led change, collaborative working and creating lasting impact, we'd love to hear from you.

Join us and help turn local ambition into local action.

Pride in Place – investing in communities, creating opportunities and building a stronger future together.

Closing Date: Tuesday 15th September 2026

Interview Date: Week commencing 28 September 2026
