ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY

Would you like to help Commercial Banking grow safely and sustainably by strengthening its control environment?

We're looking for a Manager to join our Chief Controls Office team, supporting Commercial Banking Coverage. Coverage teams work directly with commercial customers, helping them achieve their goals. You'll work in partnership with these teams to manage their controls, respond to risk events and identify practical improvements.

You'll provide clear analysis, advice and guidance tailored to senior business partners. The role offers scope to improve how we use data, reporting, automation and artificial intelligence across our risk and control activity.

In this role, you'll:

  • Help Commercial Banking Coverage teams understand, maintain and improve their control environment.

  • Manage existing controls and support the creation, improvement or retirement of controls as business processes change.

  • Manage operational risk events and related actions through to resolution, identifying where controls need to be introduced or improved.

  • Analyse risk and control information, identifying trends, issues and opportunities for improvement.

  • Prepare and present clear reporting for the leadership team, committees and governance forums.

  • Support investigations and thematic reviews, using evidence to assess issues and recommend proportionate actions.

Why Lloyds Banking Group?

We're on an exciting journey and there couldn't be a better time to join us. The investments we're making in our people, data and technology are leading to innovative projects, fresh possibilities and new ways for our people to work, learn and thrive.

You'll join a collaborative team that works closely with colleagues across Commercial Banking. The team supports the business to understand its control environment and achieve sustainable growth while managing operational risk effectively.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Risk Management

You can apply risk and control principles to understand how controls are operating, identify improvements and support the management of risk events and actions.

Data Analysis

You can interpret management information and other data to identify trends, investigate issues and turn your findings into practical recommendations.

Collaboration

You can build constructive working relationships with key contributors and business collaborators, understand their needs and provide appropriate advice, support and challenge.

Communication

You can explain complex risk and control information clearly in written reports, presentations, meetings and governance forums.

Continuous Improvement

You can identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and reporting, and help turn agreed improvements into practical changes.

AI Literacy

You understand how artificial intelligence and automation can support more effective analysis, reporting and ways of working. You're willing to explore their appropriate use while applying relevant controls and judgement.

And any experience of this would be really useful

  • Experience in risk, controls, operational risk, governance or audit.

  • Knowledge of Commercial Banking, customer coverage or relationship management.

  • Experience creating or analysing management information using Power BI.

  • Experience managing operational risk events, control assessments or related actions.

  • Exposure to process automation or artificial intelligence-enabled improvements.
