Purchasing Assistant

Our client who has been established for 50 + years is seeking a Purchasing Assistant to join their office based in Yate.

General duties would include, but are not limited to:

• Raising purchase orders and issuing to suppliers.

• Monitoring stock levels and identifying purchasing needs.

• Tracking orders and liaising with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.

• Administer receipt of goods including international shipments.

• Updating company scheduling resource tools.

• Provide admin support to the planning department.

• Maintain purchasing records in line with company and industry needs.

• Working as part of a small team, reporting to the Purchasing Manager.

Skills and Experience required:

• Good understanding of supply chain procedures

• Previous administrative experience

• Commitment and flexibility in a small team environment

• Excellent organisational skills

• Good problem-solving skills, ability to generate solutions.

• Experience of using SAGE ERP system would be advantageous.
