Summary
Assess the organisation’s existing IT systems, software, hardware and technology infrastructure to identify operational and technical requirements.
Consult with management, users and relevant stakeholders to understand IT requirements and recommend appropriate technology solutions.
Provide professional technical advice and support on the selection, implementation and effective use of IT systems and technologies.
Analyse existing IT processes and systems and recommend improvements to enhance performance, reliability and operational efficiency.
Assist with the implementation, configuration and integration of software, hardware and IT solutions within the organisation.
Investigate complex IT system issues, identify underlying causes and recommend appropriate technical solutions.
Monitor the performance and availability of IT systems and recommend improvements where required.
Provide technical support for the effective operation of organisational software, hardware and associated IT infrastructure.
Evaluate new technologies, software applications and IT solutions to determine their suitability for organisational requirements.
Coordinate with internal teams, technology suppliers and other technical professionals during the implementation and maintenance of IT solutions.
Support system upgrades, migrations, configuration changes and implementation of new technologies.
Analyse technical risks associated with existing or proposed IT systems and recommend appropriate controls and improvements.
Ensure IT solutions are appropriately configured and maintained in accordance with organisational requirements and technical standards.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation relating to IT systems, configurations, procedures, solutions and operational requirements.
Provide technical guidance to users and relevant staff on the effective use of IT systems, software and technology solutions.
Review IT system performance and operational requirements and recommend changes to improve efficiency, reliability and functionality.
Assist in developing and improving IT procedures, technical standards and technology-related working practices.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant technologies and assess opportunities for their effective application within the organisation.
