The role is based near Royal Wootton Bassett and offers the opportunity to join an established local operation as a permanent HGV Class 1 Driver.The roleWe are seeking a reliable HGV Class 1 Driver to support day-to-day transport operations. You will be responsible for completing planned deliveries and collections safely, efficiently and professionally while maintaining high standards of customer service and vehicle care.Key responsibilities• Driving an HGV Class 1 vehicle on scheduled routes• Completing deliveries and collections in a safe and timely manner• Carrying out vehicle checks before and after journeys• Securing loads and ensuring goods are transported safely• Completing delivery paperwork and digital records accurately• Following road traffic legislation, site procedures and company instructions• Reporting any vehicle, load or delivery issues promptly• Maintaining a professional attitude when dealing with customers and site contactsSkills and qualifications• Valid HGV Class 1 licence, also known as Category C+E• Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)• Valid digital tachograph card• Good knowledge of UK road safety requirements and drivers’ hours• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious approach• Clear communication skills and a professional manner• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively• Previous HGV driving experience would be usefulBenefits• Paid every Wednesday• Opportunity to be visible to local employersThis is a permanent, days-based driving position offering consistent work and a competitive hourly rate of £18.Apply today.
