At Gedling Borough Council, we are continuing to transform and modernise our Waste Services. We are seeking a reliable, safety-conscious and customer-focused HGV Driver (Class 2) to help deliver essential environmental services across the borough.
What You'll Be Doing
• Driving and operating a Category C (Class 2) refuse collection vehicle.
• Working closely with collection crews to deliver safe and efficient services.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring compliance with road safety regulations.
• Collecting domestic, recycling, glass, trade, and food waste across the borough.
• Providing excellent customer service whilst representing the Council professionally.
What We're Looking For
• Current Category C (Class 2) LGV licence.
• Valid Driver CPC qualification.
• Good understanding of highway and operational health and safety practices.
• Experience driving large vehicles in a professional environment.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a physically active role.
