HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver – Ilkeston£17.00 per hour | Monday to Friday | Immediate Starts | Local Authority ContractWorkchain Recruitment is currently recruiting for experienced HGV Class 2 (Category C) Refuse Drivers on behalf of a well-established local authority based in Ilkeston.This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing weekday work with a respected local employer, offering consistent hours, competitive pay, and the chance to be part of an essential public service.The RoleAs an HGV Class 2 Refuse Driver, you will play a key role in supporting the local refuse collection service, ensuring waste is collected safely and efficiently across the borough.Your responsibilities will include:Driving a Class 2 refuse collection vehicle on planned collection routes.Working alongside a team of loaders to complete daily refuse rounds.Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks before each shift.Operating the vehicle safely while maintaining awareness of colleagues working around the vehicle.Following all DVSA regulations, road traffic laws and health & safety procedures.Completing any required paperwork accurately.Please note: This is a driving-only role.
