Summary

Work alongside communications managers and programme teams to support communications activity that raises awareness of organisational priorities among key audiences. With guidance and support, research, draft and edit content for a range of channels, including, press releases, bulletins, websites, social media, blogs and internal communications. Develop an understanding of how to tailor messaging and tone of voice for different audiences, platforms and communication objectives. Support the planning, scheduling and delivery of communication campaigns and projects, helping ensure key messages reach the right audiences through appropriate channels. Create engaging and accessible content, with guidance on applying brand guidelines and organisational standards. Support the monitoring of digital channels, media coverage and campaign performance, helping to gather insights for evaluation and report on reach, engagement and impact. Assist in maintaining content libraries, mailing lists and contact databases in line with organisational policies and data protection requirements. Build confidence in working with colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation, developing positive relationships that support effective communications activity. Take ownership of your own development through the Level 4 Communications Assistant apprenticeship programme and applying learning in day-to-day work.
