An established and growing environmental consultancy is seeking a Senior Acoustic Consultant to join its expanding team.

The organisation delivers specialist acoustic and noise consultancy services across a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, industrial, infrastructure and mixed-use development projects throughout the UK. Your new role

As a Senior Acoustic Consultant, you will take responsibility for managing and delivering a wide range of acoustic projects, supporting clients through the planning, design and construction process. You will work closely with planners, architects, engineers and other stakeholders, providing high-quality technical advice and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities will include:

Managing acoustic projects from inception through to completion.

Undertaking environmental noise and vibration assessments.

Carrying out site surveys, monitoring and data analysis.

Preparing detailed technical reports for planning and environmental compliance.

Providing acoustic design advice for a variety of development sectors.

Liaising directly with clients, local authorities and project teams.

Supporting and mentoring junior consultants.

Contributing to business development activities and nurturing client relationships.

What you'll need to succeed

A degree in Acoustics, Physics, Engineering, Environmental Science or a related discipline.

Significant consultancy experience within the acoustics sector.

Strong knowledge of UK acoustic standards and guidance, including BS4142, BS8233, BS5228 and relevant planning policies.

Experience delivering environmental noise, vibration and building acoustics projects.

Excellent report-writing and communication skills.

Proficiency with acoustic modelling software such as CadnaA, SoundPLAN or equivalent.

Membership of the Institute of Acoustics or progress towards chartered status would be advantageous.

A full UK driving licence.
