Provide a high standard of administrative support to the Workforce Team. To work under the direction of the HR Advisor and HR Manager, to assist in the provision of a comprehensive, efficient and effective workforce advisory service.
Working from the Trust’s policies and procedures, provide basic advice and guidance to staff and line managers to resolve day to day workforce queries.
Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is situated on the west coast of Lancashire, with services covering the local authority areas of Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre. The Trust is part of the Lancashire and South Cumbria Integrated Care System (ICS) supporting a population of around 1.6 million people.
We have three main hospitals providing acute services to around 330,000 local residents. The organisation also provides specialist tertiary care for cardiac and haematology services, delivers community health services to over 445,000 residents including those in North Lancashire and hosts the National Artificial Eye Service across England. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• To be the first point of contact in providing basic advice and guidance on day-to-day workforce queries, working within the boundaries of the Trust’s Policies and Procedures, signposting when necessary and escalating to a senior colleague when appropriate.
• Provide a comprehensive administrative support service to the Workforce Team in all aspects of case work, projects, and Agenda for Change.
• Effective use of the IT systems to collage and produce the workforce management information/metrics, ie. appraisal and mandatory training figures etc.
• Take a proactive approach in arranging meetings and hearings within agreed timescales, liaising with those involved and securing appropriate rooms when required.
• Produce accurate records of minutes, either handwritten and/or typed, during meetings/hearings and distribute to the appropriate sources.
• Arrange dates and venues for training sessions and provide administrative support.
• Copy and issue hearing packs by the required deadlines
