Driver Hire Edinburgh City are currently recruiting experienced Class 2 HIAB (Remote Grab) Drivers to work with a well-established builders merchant client across Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified HIAB driver looking for stable, full-time Monday to Friday work, competitive rates of pay and the opportunity to secure a permanent position.
🚛 The Role
As a Class 2 HIAB Driver, your responsibilities will include:
Operating a Class 2 vehicle fitted with a remote grab HIAB crane
Delivering building materials to construction, commercial and residential sites
Carrying out multi-drop deliveries safely and efficiently
Operating the HIAB equipment safely and in accordance with site procedures
Loading and unloading materials using the remote grab
Completing daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects
Ensuring loads are secure and transported safely
Following all relevant health & safety procedures
Providing professional and friendly customer service at each delivery
🕒 Working Hours
Monday to Friday
8:00am start
Minimum 40 hours per week guaranteed
Overtime available depending on business requirements
Consistent weekday work with weekends generally free
💷 Pay Rates
PAYE
£16.20 per hour
£21.50 per hour after 8 hours
PAYE Advanced
£18.16 per hour
£24.20 per hour after 8 hours
