Driver Hire Edinburgh City are currently recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Skip Driver to join a well-established waste management and recycling company based in East Lothian.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable and experienced driver looking for stable, full-time work with consistent hours and the opportunity to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.
🚛 The Role
As a Class 2 Skip Driver, your responsibilities will include:
Operating a Class 2 skip vehicle safely and efficiently
Delivering, exchanging and collecting skips from commercial and domestic customers
Working across East Lothian and the surrounding areas
Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and reporting any defects
Ensuring skips and loads are handled and transported safely
Completing all work in line with company procedures and health & safety requirements
Providing a professional and friendly service to customers
Maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism at all times
🕒 Working Hours
Monday to Friday
6:15am start
Minimum 40 hours per week guaranteed
Overtime opportunities available
Temp-to-perm opportunity for the right candidate
💷 Pay Rates
PAYE
£15.00 per hour
£19.99 per hour after 8 hours
PAYE Advanced
£16.81 per hour
£22.40 per hour after 8 hours
