We are recruiting on behalf of a reputable automotive business for the position of sales manager in Portsmouth. Duties of a Sales Manager:

- Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve and surpass sales targets

- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to enhance dealership performance

- Coach and mentor Sales Executives to improve their product knowledge and sales skills

- Manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and profit targets

- Oversee the sales administration process to ensure accurate record-keeping

- Maintain high standards of customer service throughout the sales process

- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities

- Support the dealership’s growth initiatives through effective business development

Requirements of a Sales Manager:

- Proven experience as a sales manager in a retail motor environment

- Strong leadership and team-building skills

- Excellent organisational and communication abilities

- Numerate with keen attention to detail

- Full UK driving licence

- Target-driven with a successful track record of delivering results

- Passion for delivering exceptional customer service and developing team members
