We are looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to join our community connections service delivering across Derbyshire called, Together Derbyshire. You will be working specifically in High Peak & Derbyshire Dales, with the primary aim of recruiting, developing and supporting volunteers to help reduce loneliness and social isolation through community-led action.

Working alongside communities, volunteers and partner organisations, you will build a strong network of Community Builder Volunteers and community leaders who empower local people to make connections, strengthen community networks and create opportunities for social participation. You will be responsible for volunteer recruitment, training, supervision and development, ensuring volunteers feel supported and valued while helping to build stronger, more resilient communities.

Responsibilities / Key Tasks:

Recruit, coordinate and retain a diverse network of volunteers across High Peak & Derbyshire Dales promoting volunteering opportunities within local communities

Deliver volunteer induction, training, supervision and ongoing support, ensuring volunteers feel valued, confident and equipped for their roles

Lead safer recruitment processes and maintain high standards of safeguarding, quality assurance and volunteer practice

Develop Community Builder Volunteers as local ambassadors and community leaders, supporting them to strengthen community networks and local activities

Monitor volunteer engagement, satisfaction and impact, maintaining accurate records and contributing to service reporting and evaluation

Monitor, evaluate and report on activities and outcomes, demonstrating the impact of community-led approaches on health, wellbeing and social connectedness
