Summary

SITE MANAGER

Location: Staffordshire

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Job Type: Full-time

Start Date: Immediate / Negotiable

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day management of a complex refurbishment and conversion project in Staffordshire.

The project involves the conversion of an existing historic building into residential accommodation, including extensive structural alterations, refurbishment, M&E installation and high-quality finishing works.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager who enjoys taking ownership of a project and working through the challenges associated with complex existing buildings.

The Role

This role would suit a Site Manager who wants genuine responsibility and ownership, rather than someone who simply manages individual trades.

As Site Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of the site, ensuring that works are delivered safely, to programme and to the required quality standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the day-to-day activities of the construction site.

• Coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and site operatives.

• Planning and sequencing works to maintain progress against programme.

• Monitoring workmanship and ensuring works are completed to the required standard.

• Managing site logistics, deliveries, access and storage.

• Reviewing construction drawings, specifications and relevant documentation.

• Identifying and resolving construction issues as they arise.

• Coordinating with the Project Manager, design team, consultants and subcontractors.

• Maintaining accurate site records, daily diaries and progress information.

• Monitoring health, safety and environmental requirements.

• Ensuring RAMS are understood and followed by the workforce.

• Conducting regular inspections and quality checks.

• Managing snagging and ensuring works are completed to a high standard.

• Supporting the commissioning, handover and close-out of the project.

• Maintaining a professional and well-organised site environment.
