Summary
We are seeking an experienced Lead Architect to join the growing Solution Engineering team. The Lead Architect will be an overarching technical authority across a number of major Route 101 accounts, exhibiting ownership, thought leadership and industry awareness in order to maximise the potential of our clients as a trusted advisor to their most senior stakeholders. The role will require a full end-to-end understanding of the client environments and their strategic aims, as well as that of the Route 101 strategic portfolio of products and services in order to drive incremental business. The Lead Architect will also need to liaise with opposite numbers within our vendor ecosystem to understand their roadmap and strategy but also as an advocate of the client and robustly representing Route 101’s interests across the supply chain.
This will require candidates to have proven experience working in large scale and critical environments and the ability to deal with challenging requirements and situations. You will need to be visible and accessible to the client at all times and work closely (including site visits) to build a relationship with them and gain trust as a credible and experienced professional. You will need to have a natural energy and positive outward demeanor, even when under pressure, representing Route 101 in key client engagements, including escalations. There will be an expectation to be pro-active in your approach and being a step ahead in what is coming next in the industry and from vendors.
In addition, this role will require the team-leading of a number of Technical Architects who will be deployed to carry out lower level discovery, design and documentation work under your guidance. You will ensure best practices and principles are employed and adhered to, as well as implementing and monitoring consistent ways of working. You will work with the Chief Solutions Officer on execution of the Route 101 strategy with regard to our products and services offerings and the overall retention and growth of our clients.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify opportunities within the client environment to optimise existing solution sets and recommend new ones in line with client objectives.
• Consider elements of security, scalability, resilience and accessibility as core principles in any proposed solution.
• Reduce risk by identifying gaps in existing solution sets.
• Work seamlessly with other technical, operations and commercial colleagues to ensure co-ordination, quality and consistency across the client engagement.
• Support and drive the sales cycle, assessing potential application of the Route 101 portfolio to meet customer needs.
• Uncover complex transformational engagement opportunities and identify the business value as well as technical solutions.
• Be conversant in the broader Route 101 portfolio and its application to drive business outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience in building long-term client relationships and managing stakeholders effectively at both operational and C-level tiers.
• The ability to articulate technical solutions specifically in the context of Contact Centre operations and customer journey mapping, rather than just technical metrics.
• Experience acting as a bridge between technical teams and consulting/commercial practices to ensure strategic alignment.
• Representing Route 101 at industry events and forums, to include delivery of webinars and public presentations.
• Carrying out industry research and analysis to keep Route 101 current, relevant and focused - which may include the writing of white-papers or other articles.
• Engage in Research & Development activities.
• Maintenance and management of Route 101 documentation templates and processes to support the Architecture function.
• Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Architecture team with the Solutions organisation.
• Work with the Chief Solutions Officer and other team leads to ensure horizontal enablement and identify continuous improvement opportunities and solutions.
