We are seeking an enthusiastic, well-organised and proactive individual to provide high-quality administrative and operational support to Consultant Cardiologists within a fast-paced and dynamic service.

This is a key role, essential to the smooth running of cardiology clinics and services. You will support patient pathways and act as a central point of contact for consultants, multidisciplinary teams, patients and external stakeholders, ensuring an efficient and professional service is delivered at all times.

Interview: 10th September

• Type clinic and additional correspondence to GPs, patients and other allied health professionals in a timely and accurate manner

• Provide a fast and accurate audio‑typing service using Trust‑approved systems, including Amplify

• Cover for other Consultant PAs and medical secretaries during periods of absence to ensure service continuity

• Manage consultant email inboxes and take appropriate action on correspondence where required

• Relieve consultants of non‑clinical administrative duties wherever possible

• Organise meetings, prepare agendas and take accurate minutes as required

• Provide line management to a team of medical secretaries/administrative staff, offering professional leadership, supervision and motivation to deliver a high‑quality service

• Ensure Trust values are upheld and demonstrated on a daily basis, treating all patients with dignity and respect and maintaining a consistently high standard of service delivery

If a role or service relocates as part of a planned move, excess mileage will not be reimbursed. Travel from home to the new work base will be classed as a normal commute. Any other changes will be managed under Trust or national terms and conditions.
