Learner Support Assistant – Primary School

We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and reliable
Learner Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys supporting children and wants to make a genuine difference to their learning and development.
The Role
As a Learner Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other support staff to help pupils get the most out of their school day. Your responsibilities may include:

Providing
1:1 and small-group support to pupils
•
Supporting children with
additional learning needs/SEND
•
Helping pupils remain engaged and focused during lessons
•
Supporting children's
social, emotional and academic development
•
Assisting the class teacher with activities and classroom preparation
•
Encouraging positive behaviour and building pupils' confidence
•
Creating a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment
We're Looking For Someone Who:
•
Has experience working with
primary-aged children
•
Is patient, caring and approachable
•
Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills
•
Is confident supporting children with different learning needs
•
Can work effectively as part of a school team
•
Is passionate about helping children develop and succeed
Experience within a school or SEND setting would be beneficial, although we would love to hear from candidates with transferable experience working with children or young people.
