Its services include the collection, consolidation, sorting and next-day delivery of freight across the UK, with local depot operations supporting regional coverage.The roleWe are seeking an HGV Class 1 Driver for temporary daytime work in Gloucester. You will be responsible for driving safely and professionally while supporting the collection and delivery of freight.Key responsibilities• Carry out local and regional collections and deliveries• Complete vehicle checks and report any defects• Load and secure freight safely using load straps• Follow delivery schedules, transport procedures and road safety requirements• Complete relevant delivery paperwork accurately• Provide a professional service at collection and delivery points• Maintain a clean and safe vehicle and working areaSkills and qualifications• Valid HGV Class 1 driving licence• Current Driver CPC and digital tachograph card• Practical experience using load straps• Good knowledge of safe loading and load security• Strong awareness of road safety and legal driving requirements• Reliable, punctual and professional approach• Good communication skills and the ability to work independentlyBenefits• Paid every Wednesday• Opportunity to be visible to local employersThis is a temporary, days-based driving opportunity offering £17 to £18 per hour.
