Its work includes the safe and efficient movement of documents, parcels and other items, supported by local customer service and delivery operations.The roleA permanent opportunity is available for a Car/Van Driver to support local delivery operations. You will complete multi-drop routes, deliver parcels to homes and retail stores, and provide a reliable service throughout the working day.Key responsibilities• Carry out home deliveries and retail store deliveries• Complete multi-drop routes, including more than 10 drops• Load, unload and move parcels using handball techniques• Check delivery details and handle goods carefully• Plan and follow delivery routes efficiently• Communicate professionally with customers and delivery locations• Complete relevant delivery paperwork or electronic recordsSkills and qualifications• Experience of multi-drop delivery work• Experience in home delivery and retail store deliveries• Confident handling parcels and carrying out handball duties• Good route-planning and time-management skills• Reliable, organized and customer-focused approach• Ability to work independently while meeting delivery deadlines• A valid driving licence suitable for the vehicle usedBenefits• £13 to £14 per hour• Permanent daytime position• Paid every Wednesday• Opportunity to be visible to local employersThis role may suit an experienced delivery driver, courier or van driver who enjoys working on the road and delivering a dependable service.
