This role would suit a reliable and safety-conscious driver who is confident working independently and providing a professional service.Key responsibilities• Drive an HGV Class 2 vehicle safely and responsibly• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects• Carry out deliveries and collections according to schedule• Load, secure and unload goods safely• Complete delivery paperwork and other relevant records• Communicate professionally with customers, colleagues and site teams• Follow company procedures, road safety requirements and transport regulationsSkills and qualifications• Valid UK HGV Class 2 licence, also known as Category C• Valid Driver CPC qualification• Valid digital tachograph card• Previous HGV Class 2 driving experience is preferred• Good knowledge of road safety and vehicle checks• Reliable, punctual and organised approach• Able to work safely with minimal supervision• Good communication and customer service skills• Physically able to assist with loading and unloading where requiredBenefits• £15 per hour• Day shifts• Paid every Wednesday• Opportunity to be visible to local employersAbout the companyThis organisation operates in the cash and carry sector and is based in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear.
