This temporary opportunity is suited to someone who enjoys active work, working as part of a team and helping ensure deliveries are completed efficiently and professionally.The roleAs a Drivers Mate, you will support the delivery driver with loading, unloading and completing customer drops. This is a hands-on role involving regular lifting and carrying, so you should be comfortable working at pace and spending much of the day on your feet.Key responsibilities• Assist with loading and unloading potato deliveries• Carry out handball deliveries safely and efficiently• Support a multidrop delivery route of more than 10 stops• Help the driver navigate the route and complete deliveries on time• Check that goods are handled carefully during loading and unloading• Maintain a professional and helpful approach at each delivery• Follow reasonable health and safety instructionsSkills and qualifications• Previous handball or delivery experience is desirable• Experience supporting multidrop deliveries, particularly routes with more than 10 drops• Good physical fitness and the ability to lift and carry goods• Reliable, punctual and willing to work as part of a team• A practical approach and good attention to detail• No formal qualifications are specified for this roleBenefits• £12.71 per hour• Temporary daytime work• Paid every Wednesday• Visibility to local employersApply today.
