Lambeth to recruit an enthusiastic and academically strong
Graduate Teaching Assistant for September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for a graduate looking to gain meaningful classroom experience within a supportive and ambitious school environment, with the potential to progress towards
teacher training in the future.
The school places a strong emphasis on
high expectations, academic achievement and developing confident, successful young people. You will work alongside experienced teachers and become an important part of the school's wider teaching and learning team.

English, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, History, Geography, Religious Studies or another Humanities subject, this role could be an excellent first step towards a career in teaching.
The Role – Graduate Teaching Assistant
• Support students across
KS3 and KS4 within your specialist subject
• Provide targeted
1:1 and small-group interventions
• Support students with their academic progress and confidence
• Work alongside classroom teachers to support effective lesson delivery
• Assist with lesson preparation and learning resources
• Build positive and professional relationships with students
• Support pupils in achieving their academic and personal potential
• Gain valuable experience ahead of
teacher training
The Ideal Graduate
We are looking for graduates who have:
• A
2:1 degree or above in English, Maths, Science or a Humanities subject
•
2:2 graduates may be considered where they can demonstrate strong relevant experience
• Strong
GCSE and A-Level results
• A genuine passion for education and working with young people
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The confidence to work with students across KS3 and KS4
• A clear ambition to progress into
teacher training
• The ability to build positive relationships and inspire young people
• The right to work in the UK (
