The Opportunity:
Long Term Futures are seeking an outgoing SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Frankley Green from September 2026.
This rewarding role will involve providing 1:1 support for Key Stage 1 pupils with Autism (ASD), helping them successfully access learning and re-engage with classroom activities. Working alongside the class teacher, you will play a key role in implementing personalised support strategies that promote confidence, communication, and independence.

Your Key Responsibilities:
* Provide dedicated 1:1 support for KS1 pupils with Autism (ASD)
* Support pupils in re-engaging with classroom learning and daily routines
* Implement personalised strategies linked to EHCP outcomes and individual learning plans
* Promote communication, emotional regulation, and positive social interactions
* Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom organisation throughout the day
* Deliver targeted interventions to support academic and personal development
* Monitor pupil progress and provide regular feedback to the class teacher and SENCO
* Help create a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment
Requirements:
* Previous experience supporting children with Autism (ASD) - essential
* Experience providing 1:1 support within a primary or specialist educational setting
* Understanding of EHCPs and personalised learning strategies
* Strong communication and behaviour management skills
* Patient, proactive, and resilient approach to supporting children with additional needs
* Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education
