Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Salary: £39,000–£43,000 per annum, depending on qualifications, skills and relevant experience.

Job Summary

Pure N Sure Limited, trading as Desi S-Mart Supermarket, is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Sales Supervisor to oversee daily sales operations and support the growth of its specialist South Asian grocery business. The successful candidate will supervise the sales team, maximise sales performance, maintain excellent customer service standards and ensure efficient store operations.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and support the daily activities of the sales team.

Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to achieve sales targets.

Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve customer concerns professionally.

Assist customers with product enquiries and recommendations.

Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment activities.

Ensure products are displayed effectively to maximise sales opportunities.

Support promotional campaigns and seasonal sales initiatives.

Prepare sales reports and monitor key performance indicators.

Train, mentor and motivate team members to achieve operational objectives.

Ensure compliance with Company policies, food safety standards and health and safety regulations.

Assist management with store operations and business development activities.

Knowledge of South Indian languages such as Telugu, Tamil, Kannada or Malayalam would be advantageous due to the nature of the customer base and product range, but is not essential.

Experience

Minimum of 2 years' experience in a sales supervisory, retail supervisory or similar role.

Experience within a supermarket, grocery or retail environment.

Experience leading teams and achieving sales targets.

Experience in customer service, merchandising and stock management.

Experience preparing sales reports and monitoring performance metrics.

Qualifications

GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.

Level 3 qualification in Retail, Sales, Business or a related field is desirable.

Relevant customer service or retail qualifications are advantageous.
