Job Description
We are looking for a self-employed PA who is able to drive to support within the home and social support.
Roles and Responsibilities
Part of the PA role will include assisting with personal administration. Such as helping to manage paperwork, appointments and supporting the individual to stay on top of day-to-day tasks.
Support is also needed to maintain a safe, clean and well-managed home environment. This includes assisting with general household cleaning such as mopping, wiping down surfaces and organising the home.
A key responsibility is supporting healthy eating and nutrition. This includes helping with food shopping, meal planning, and preparing simple nutritious meals. Assistance is also required to provide the individual with prepared packed lunches/meals for when the PA isn't there. The individual would like to reduce their reliance on processed foods, and promoting healthier eating habits by trying new foods and enjoying meals out together. On a Friday you will do a food shop together.
The role also involves promoting the individual to keep on top of personal care by providing prompts and encouragement. This could include running a bath for the individual.
Support is also required to attend healthcare appointments, including GP, dental and other medical appointments.
The role also involves accompanying the individual on outings such as visits to cafés, restaurants, farm shops and the cinema, helping them to meet new people, with enjoyable activities to look forward to.
The role with require a driver with access to a car, a DBS check will also be required for the role.
