Female PA Support Required, to Support with Personal Care and Accessing the Community - Little Eaton- 9 Hours Per Week- -SJC-DCC-001.

Job Description

We are looking for a female employed PA to support a friendly middle aged lady.

The lady requiring support has neurological-developmental disorders and long term physical health issues

I am a non smoker and prefer to be around people who do not smoke on my time due to my sensory processing difficulties.

The individual requiring support uses a wheelchair so may be required to push her manual wheelchair.

Roles and Responsibilities

You will be required to support with most personal care duties (showering, dressing, medical assistance)

Support with accessing the community. Such as social outings, attending appointments, swimming, local walks, shopping.

Supporting around the home. Such as ironing, general cleaning, laundry, making her bed.

Supporting with food and drink preparation.

General support including support with admin tasks, hobbies in the home, shopping, keeping me independent and safe in my home and in the community.

Helping the lady occasionally with some other general support, such admin tasks, helping her advocating for herself, keeping her healthy and independent.

Occasionally help me with my mobility, such as pushing me in my wheelchair.

You will also be required to offer her emotional support when she is having bad days with her health issues.

About Me

The individual requiring support has a wide range of hobbies and interests.

They enjoy going swimming or use steam/sauna room at local leisure centre. They like listening to music or learning musical instruments. She has a strong love for animals especially dogs.

She has a dry, sarcastic humour so she needs someone who doesn't take anything she says personally. She is a family oriented person. She loves routines and struggles with unpredictability.

What pets do I have and how many?

The lady does not own any pets of her own. Sometimes the lady likes to walk her family dogs occasionally, so you must be willing to meet her family's dog and help her to walk then locally in her village as when needed.
